first of all you need to tell us which car model you have--------each model can accept larger tires and rims than stock-------for example my 81 turbo came with 15 inch rims so my car can accept your dimensions----------as for the 240's, 260's and 280's their body style is close and could possibly accept that size tire if the rim offset is correct------there are many variables when deciding which tire will fit besides just the tire-------there are rim offsets and rim size to consider also-------plus how close to the strut and wheel well/fender lip you care to have the tire------------if you really have not a clue about what I am talking about ask your tire shop if they can help you out-------

Stock tires on a turbo is 205 60 15. I don't know if you would want to go with a higher profile of tire or not. You might be able to go with 225 60 15, but don't take my word for it. Plus everything that 81Turbo said.
From a previous post in the off topic board, you have a 240z v8 conversion? check with other 240-280z, see what they can run on 15" turbo wheels. Not sure if you have turbo rims( swastika) I think they were the only ones that came in 15", not sure tho.

ok what are the proper size for a 1981 280zx with the 6 start rims
my front ones rub inside when i turn and wears the tire out
so can som1 give me the sizes so i can check
