1977 280 Project

Just bought a 77 280. Been sitting for 15 years in barn. Couple of issues, when the engine is turned over the fuel pump does not start. Only after the key is turned back one click does the pump start. There is fuel then pumped to the engine. Another issue, not getting spark at the plugs. The resistor at the coil is hot to the touch, does anyone know what voltage should be at the positive side of the coil?

I'm pretty sure it's 8 volts. Since it's hot then you have some resistance but it is normal for the resistor to get hot because the excessive voltage is given off as heat. You should n't try to start a car that has been sitting that long without draining the gas.

12v to the coil, the FSM shows the correct way to test the coil.

fuel pump issue resolved. Now no spark.

now to the no spark issue. I pulled plugs and checked for fire. Replaced coil, checked wires. Nothing seems out of place. Where and what should I check?
