Re: 17" RIMS!!!!?!?!?!
to save major $$$$ run standard honda accord tuner wheels with a spacer/adapter.....evan and i both make them...but evan is going to be selling them.....if you have any concern of how they hold up....check out the attached pic....evan sent me this.....the car hit a curb at 50.......toasted all the suspension....but the wheel is still attached to the adapter....i will be usuing a set with my V8 Z sporting 19x9's & 19x7's....my car is getting built to run silerstate challenge in the 165mph class.......if they hold up to this type of abuse...they will certainly hold up to normal driving conditions....and save a lot of cash over the price of custom 3 piece odd offsett wheels.

no....there is an article somewheres on the site that has a detailed pic of the adapters....they use stock length studs......but the use the factory studs to mount the adapter to the car....then have another set of studs pressed in from the backside of the adapter........check out the site im sure the article is still here .......or you can email evan for a price on a set...i know he was getting ready to take an order for everybody who wanted some.

i have a set of wheels from compomotive [usacomp.com], they look and work great. no wandering problems. wheels are 17x8 or 17x9.5 depending on how u measure them. to see a pic, look at the article on the home page; brock yates event. mine is the white 240 with tinted headlight covers

That looks like just the roof of a car not the whole car, plus i think it would be hard to toss a whole car in a dumpster, and probably even harder for the garbage truck to empty it.

Hey guys whatsup. Hey ron, talked to you on the phone last night, Have you ever driven a z with adapters on it? I would guess not. The panasports are nice but way too expensive for an oldschool looking wheel IMHO. I know thier advantages, but I also know that if i see a honda with rims on it i like, i go to discount tire and order a set. Yes you are correct about rear toe with a wide rim in the rear.
ANYWHO, the picture is of a freinds 280, it was totaled. He stripped for some parts that was it. The underside is HORRIBLE looking.
Evan
Well while i have it apart i might as well........

Yeah dude thats my buddy in so cal. Nice car, too bad that happened eh! That car autocrosses on adapters too. Running drag slicks is another story though...
I didnt mean to come across harshly about the adapters. I understand why you wouldnt want them. I am not worried about them being a problem... I worry more about my turbo motor and all the other possible faliure points. No matter where i looked, i couldnt find a set of rims that i liked on my zcar. Its got aftermarket paint, fenders, and rims i respect nissans choices but dont always feel that i need to stick to em. Classic isnt my bag, i guess thats my deal anyways.
Later bud= Evan
PS, i drive my car like i stole it. Man thats fun!

Re: 17" RIMS!!!!?!?!?!
I just ordered a set of 16x8 with 225-50 fuldas. Is the extra inch on the rim going to mess up my handling and performance. i thought wider is better. If you have any better suggstions for a wheel set up for autox and everday please let me know.
