Z Specialties HO alternator question

I have a 78 Z car. I just bought one of Z specialties HO alternator. The instructions explain where to put the White with red wire which goes to the battery post on alternator, and the black to the ground bolt on alternator. Thats all the instructions say for a 78. My OE alternator also has a white plug with two wires in it. I think one ends up going to the battery, the other seems to split somewhere, one leg going to the fuse panel, the other leg going to the charge light in the volt gauge then back to the fuse panel. This plug is where my problem is, I figure I have to cut the plug off and put the wires somewhere but just not 100% sure where. If anyone knows, it would be vert appriciated. Z Specialties is closed till monday and I;d like to get this hooked up tonight or tomorrow.

I did the Z Spec 105 amp alternator on my '78 (while I was at it...). I'm not at home right now, so I can't photo it for you, but I do remember having to just heatshrink and tape off a plug, according to their information (you don't use it with the new alternator). Also: be absolutely sure to use the NAPA belt that Z Specialties specs, and make sure the pulleys line up nicely. The stock-sized belt, and any misalignment will eat the belt in short order with the upgrade alternator.
cheers,
Dave
