u-joint help needed

The half shafts consist of a male and female spline that slide in and out. They don't usually wear out. If they are, you will half to try and find some in the junk yards. If the boots are torn, you should replace them at this time.

You can order new boots for the Half Shafts from Victoria British for +/- $20. U-Joints are probably another $20-$40. If you are familiar with changing U-Joints then you can handle the Half Shafts. As for the Drive Shaft. Nissan pressed the originals in and Splined the lip, thus making them "throw-away". I took my Drive Shaft to a Drive Shaft shop and they replaced my U-Joints and Balanced the Shaft for $100. Now everything is smooth and tight.
