Synching carburetors/air fuel mix

I believe my air/fuel mix is off on my Z, because it hesitates when the choke is off, even when it's warmed up. I have a synchrometer for synching the carburetors, but I don't know how to set the air/fuel mix. Is there an easy way to do it, or should I just wait and buy a colortune kit to do it? I know the a/f mix is close, but I also know it's off by a little.

wait to buy a colortune. I found this out the hard way. You can make "just a little off" to "way off."
