Sifting through goofy ideas....:)

I've had kinda of a particular parts pile in mind for my rear end, and upon further inquiry, there seems to be a small problem of about 7" difference in width. So, now I have 3 choices. 1. Leave it alone, and break it right quick. 2. Shorten the half shafts, which might be a bit of a pain. 3. Mount the hubs 3.5" further out, and put Corvette wheels on it...they're +70~80 offset. Hmmnnn...
Not real crazy about Corvette stuff.

i would just widen it out, using the entire vette IRS and make up the difference using IMSA flares or something. finding wheels for a 5x5 lug pattern is a helluva lot easier then 4x4.5 or 5x4.5

A write up on doing what?? I haven't even decided exactly WHAT I'm going to do, much less admitted to it. Whatever it becomes, I may or may not write up afterward. I can tell ya this much, I'm NOT doing a Corvette irs swap, or adding on any fender flares either.
Did kinda slither under it today and eyeballed, measured, and found an ebrake cable installed backward, with the support for the cable bent such that the left brake has been applied for the last 4 yrs. Ya think that might have something to do with the pad click in the left rear???
Those springs sure look BIG and UGLY, and like they really don't need to be there in my way.
