L28 power with n42 block?

I have an n42 block with a n47 head on my 77 EFI L28. Is this a good head to get power out of with out a bore kit or doing an engine swap? If so what kind of cam could i get to get some more power out of it. Where can I get some 600cc fuel injectors as well. What do you think of ITB on this as well?

600cc injectors??!?! Are you going turbocharged aimed at 600hp? I see absolutely no need for 600cc injectors no matter how crazy L28 build you make...

Are you just randomly throwing around parts ideas?

Stock 280Z / 280ZX n/a injectors are 180cc. 280ZX Turbo injectors are 259cc. A few 400hp+ L28ET guys running MegaSquirt are using Mercedes 450cc injectors.

Not sure where you got the 550cc number from... 600cc is a huge injector for even a modified Z32TT.

As for the ITB's, expect to pay $1k+ for a setup.

Stock RX8 injectors are 420cc.
Stock S14 (KA24DE) injectors are 270cc.

So if your friends are telling you 550cc is "stock", they are lying to you.

You can make very nice power with a bored out l28, nice and reliable.

Cams you can check out:

Motorsport! Performance Camshafts - The Z Store, Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts

ITBs are more for people who have money to throw at their engines, and full blown race setups that are trying to maximize their power outputs. Yes they are good, they will make a difference, but not necessary for a regular average joe driver/weekend warrior. There is kits out there, I think about 1-2k.

600cc injectors aren't an overkill, they are like dropping an atomic bomb on an anthill by putting them in an N/A l28. Typical estimate for injectors is 1cc=1 flywheel hp. Nismo is right, not even a crazy turbo buildup would need those injectors.
