Exhaust smell
#26
ya know, I'm not so sure what I'm smelling anymore... I just know it's really strong when the windows are down. and now that the dumb tail pipe is turned, I smell that more when I'm sitting at a stop light. It is so frustrating, I just hope it's these hoses now. we'll see, if it's not I think I will sell it.

The canister filtersfumes from the gas tank. If the gas hoses are leaking it doesn't take much to stink up the whole car. So all the fuel hoses and vacuum hoses should be replaced. The exhaust fumes are the hardest to get rid of so hatch seals are likely bad to. lifegrddude is right about the muffler. If it's a clamp-on have it welded.

my number 3 or 4 injector usually has a small pool of fuel under it after i drive it a while, i pulled the plug though it doesent run to lean.
i am afraid its going to go up in flames though but i cant find any decent sets of injectors

That and make sure all your seals are in good shape. We did this on my friend's 71 240 and now we don't smell like we doused ourselves in gasoline every time we ride in his Z.

I have extended the tail pipe, I have done the paper test, I have done the gaskets around the lights.... I have not lifted my carpet yet. I'm going to do that tonight, and am going to take more pictures of my exhaust. I will check the vent lines from the gas tank... *sigh*
