Cylinder compression check question

I have a 1975 280z, 4 speed, unk if Calif, N42 head and block (dish pistons). All stock as far as I know. I did a compression check and the readings went from low of 147 to high of 158. Motor was warm but not hot. Does this sound like it's within spec? Should I do a second check with engine cold overnight? Thanks....

Wish I had the service manual. They are over $80 used. Still looking for one though and did order "How to restore your Datsun Z-car" but still waiting for Amazon to ship it.

I haven't read through your other posts, I assume you are pretty new to Datsun world. A lot of the old stuff has been converted to PDF and uploaded all over the internet. If you need wiring diagrams, or body diagrams, or anything, really just google and search around a bit. Make sure it is your year specific, because there is slight electrical differences between the few years.

Closing this thread since we are apparently discussing the same thing in the other thread. Download the FSM as linked above.
