Carbs?

New to this site but not too Z cars. I will be buying my brothers 1973 240 Z which I used to drive occasionally 20 some odd years ago. the car has a 240 crank and a 280 block, headers etc. It currently has triple Weber's on it but I would like to go with something else that has similar performance but easier to tune. What are the best triple carbs to use?

Triple webers

Webers seem hard to tune but really they are quite straightforward if you understand how they work and what they need. If you get other carbs you will be spending just as much time setting them up and keeping them in tune. It's all the same really.

They are by far the easiest to get kits for and knowhow on them is widely available.

I do understand your frustration though - a lot of people spend lots of bucks and time and never get them sorted like they want. If you want something that you don't need to screw with, go back to FI - by far the easiest overall!

Triple webers are definitely the best (Or second best by my count, if you can get HSR's) performance carbs. I am going to be running Ztherapy SU's though, supposedly they're a dream. Super easy to tune, good gas mileage and good power as well. Definitely easier to live with than triples.

Better than SK's or Mikunis? I also have some good carbs off of a 72 240z I can put on. what is the real performance difference between the duals and the triples.
