beware noob asking questions

can someone please link me to a "how to" on a chevy small block conversion or kit etc..
give me the lowdown on what i "need" to even start....

im retarded and new so bear with me so i can learn how to do this

I wont need to buy one, i allready bought one from a friend.
thank you for the heads up on hybridz, i dont recollect even posting this question here.
And to adderess the "everyones done it" so what? It's my car and i'll do what i want with it, but finding a specific how to on this was a bear not knowing what i was doing to begin with, im coming from 4X4's to a little car with the same motor, it should be encouraged and not slammed.

If you had already bought one from a friend, you wouldn't be looking for instructions on how to do it. With so many being around, you could most likely buy one much cheaper than you could build one, and that's if you knew how. Jags that run has nearly a step by step process laid out for the 78 back models, and it ain't cheap.

To clarify, In reference to the "all ready bought one" i bought a bone stock Z... not one that's been converted to sb chevy.
