'75 Air Hose, flow meter to throttle chamber

My old air hose cracked open letting in too much air. Ordered new one from Nissan, but it only seems to come with out the attachment point for the hose from the top of the valve cover. Has anyone else run into this problem? Can you just plug the line from the top of the valve cover? It seems like it would be a continual problem point if you tried to add an attachment point to the air hose.
Either they sent you the wrong one or you ordered the wrong one. The throttle body changes for different years and weather or not you have a california model. Some have the valve cover vent in the bottom of the throttle body. The boot they sent you sounds like it was meant for that type of throttle body. What you need is a boot like a 1981-83 280ZX has. if you can exchange it, I would do that.
Don't vent the valve cover into the engine compartment and don't plug it.

Got the answer!
Turns out there is a T on the inlet to the Air Regulator that had a plug on one branch of the T. Removed the plug and routed the hose from the top of the valve cover to it, and used the air hose without the fitting on it for the hose from the valve cover. The other branch of the T is routed to a fitting on the start of the Throttle Chamber which is right downstream from where old fitting was on the air hose - sooo works the same!!!
