does anyone know if a T5 borg warner 5spd will fit in a 75 280z coupe? what will if not?

Yes it will...these were available in the 280ZX turbo so it's an easy swap.

 

The transmission will bolt up bellhousing/block a-okay, but there's a driveshaft compatibility issue. Of course, that can be remedied with enough fabrication and/or cash, but that's kind of a personal pain threshold decision.
