240z won't run under load

Hey guys, I've got a question.

I recently replaced the fuel vent line on my gas tank and now the car will die when in gear. Revs up fine, but when I let off the cluth is dies. Or I'll have to rev it up too 3 or 4k to get it moving.

I replaced the vent line coming off the gas tank and into the hatch. I replaced it with regular heater hose.

Here's my question, with this line create a big enough vacuum leak to cause this? The car was running fine before I replaced this line.

Any insight would be helpful.
Thanks

do you run an electric fuel pump in line with your mechanical?

I would look for a fuel blockage and also check the carbs. you may have had a leak or an issue that caused the car to be tuned to run with it and now that you have changed that vent line it may need to be retuned to account for the correction.

hope this helps.
