240z distributor

Hello everyone! New owner of a 240 and wanted to do a tuneup after the first drive was choppy. I was not prepared for what I found under the distributor cap. Looks like the previous owner did a swap. Can you help me identify what is currently firing my plugs? Thanks in advance!

That is an after market electronic ignition. The problem with this is the vacuum advance stops working. Use a vacuum pump to test it. By the looks of your breaker plate it is frozen up from rust anyway

Does anyone know where I can find parts to rebuild the distributor? I believe it is a 280zx.

You can carefully disassemble it and remove the vacuum advance assembly. Test it with a vacuum tester, buy a cheap one from Harbor Freight. Pump it up to 10 psi and see if it moves and holds pressure. If it does you are good. If not you can try to find one at Napa auto or one of the better stores. Without the vacuum advance it will never run good. New rotor and cap too.
