got bigger brakes...now need bigger wheels
well I installed my crossdrilled/slotted rotors and 4 piston calipers from msa and now the 14x6.5 eagle wheels don't fit...I would like to know what kind of backspacing I need on some wheels. The wheels I currently have have about 1/2-3/4 of an inch clearance from the coil springs. I would like to get close to the coils and have some plans to get a california z body kit off of a junkyard z I have found.
You will need to go to 15" or bigger rims to fit on the new brakes. I went to 16"X7" rims on mine. Had to use 1' spacers because they were made for a front wheel drive car. Good Luck, Rich.
Basically your spacer will equal the wheel offset. + 25 offset = 25mm (1 inch) thick spacer. With the thick spacers you will need longer wheel studs too, available from Summit. Make sure you get hub-centric spacers for best results.

I found this company
www.diamondracingwheels.com
and it looks like their 15x8 wheels will fit nicely.
inner bell dia. is 13.3in., I figure my new brakes go out to 6 7/16" radius so the dia. would be 12 7/8".
I also would like to know how much backspace I can run to get as much tire under the fender as possible. I have seen pics of guys running 4.5 in. of backspacing and having about 1/8in. clearance from the stock struts but I don't know all the specs on their tire size and such.
