Hey guys I'm new to the forum and just bought my first datsun...a 1973 240z.
What I'm looking to do is get some air bagged suspension on it .
Have googled it many times and not much info is coming up besides one size fits all type.

What I'm wondering is there any manufacturer specific air bag kits that are made for this car ?

So i found these....Air Suspension Pros | Find Quality Suspension Lowering & Lift Kits anybody know what the differences are between th 73 datsun 240z suspension and the 74 280zx suspension.....will this be something that can fit with a bit of modification?

No, there aren't any bag kits for the 240z. And I wouldn't trust that website... they don't even know the correct years for the Z's (S30 240Z - 280Z = 70-78, S130 280ZX = 79-83).

If you are determined to go bags, it's completely custom.

 

Thanks for the advice ....I would love bags but I'm also open to coils overs that would allow me to lower the car as well ...any suggestions on good ones?

The one thing about the bags is if you get into a speed bump situation it's an easy lift and your safe .....I would love to hear from somebody who has done a custom bag install and all it entails.

There's a YouTube video of a custom bag job using air ride meant for a 2005 bmw 525....curious if he's a member?

 

If you are doing it yourself, I would assume you already know what you are doing. If you are having a shop do it... well, just fork over the $$$.
