Where do I buy paint??

Is there any place that I can buy a can of that 70's Root beer brown paint? I don't know the chassis code at the moment, but i'm sure somebody does. Do I have to custom order it, or is there someplace that has Zcar color paint?

You get in your car and drive to your local auto paint supply store.

you can go to some auto shops and ask them where they get their paint from if they dont have a mixing booth. alot of different types of paints so be prepared to have some money. the usual cost of paint of a qt is around 130ish. ppg is ok but we use rem. its ready to spray so you dont have to put in reducer. If you do buy paint where u need to mix reducer you usually get it cheaper and you get more. Do you know how to spray, are you spraying inside and how big is your compressor? Also you cant forget about your clear. you need around a gallon of paint and clear to properly cover a car.

Depends on the paint... der... Cheap paint is obviously cheaper than quality paint. I got my one stage for $25/qt... so "technically" I got a gallon for $100 (cheaper than what you paid for your gallon).

ppg is ok but not the greatest. i work at a body shop so we try to use the best. we have to guarantee our crap so having the best helps. remember when you have more matalics or pearl the price goes up.

i love painting cars. people try to make the spray the paint wet when all you need to do is spray it to cover. you apply clear how you want it. its prepping cars that gets griping

i really liked my napa paint. for single stage, it was $100 a gallon, for orange, which is on the higher end of colors as far as cost. but i liked it a lot. it went on nice, stayed on, and was more scratch resistant then a brand new factory car
