i've read conflicting things about whether or not 280z seats are interchangeable with each other (my driver's seat is in fair shape, passenger seat in perfect shape)- has anyone swapped them out? also, anyone have experience with cheap aftermarket seats? i mean, really cheap seats?

They're fairly easy to switch. Those seats on ebay are made in China and you stil might have to buy brackets or make some and with the shipping end up costing you $300. A better way to go maybe is to buy the upholstery kit on ebay. Much cheaper in the long run and OEM style.
