My restoration so far.

I live in las vegas and am building a 1972 240z. I just finished painting it this weekend and need to start reassembly next weekend. I hope to have it finished by the end of januray. Right now it has a l28 with su carbs, cam, header and electronic ignition. After the car is on the road and all the bugs are worked out it will be getting a t3t4 turbo with mega squirt stand alone fuel injection. Suspension is all tokico and the brakes are stock with the exception of slotted rotors. It will get a full 4 piston caliper upgrade later. Well check out the pics and let me know what you think. ALL work has been completed by me.

This is where she sat for 10 years!

Found out why she was parked.

Pulled out the old.

time for a rebuild and new block.

Very nice job! I love the new color too.

Those wheels are gonna look sweet too. I had a set of 17's like that on my car for a while.

I wont deal with tripples, they are a MAJOR pita to tune. I'm putting in a mega squirt setup with turbo. I planned to do a t3t4, extrude hone intake, custom turbo cam, big throttle body, etc. But for now, ill drop in my stock l28turbo with mega squirt and drive her for a while. I need to enjoy the car for a while since ive never even driven her yet.

Sweet Job! I love the orange paint. I just finished my ZX in silver and black, but toyed with orange or yellow paint idea.
I want to restore a 240 one day. But I have been on mine for a year and dont want to restore anything now, just wanna drive it for a while.
But your Z is gonna look sweet! Keep us updated with pics!

I'm wondering how much was the cost of your paint job. I plan on getting my car repainted within a couple months. Your paint looks like it came out excellent

Its was done by me, so i figure i have $200 or so in materials. A nice job will set you back anywhere from 1200 and up. You can get a quickie job done for 500 or less and it will be decent for a daily driver.

Sigh I don't suppose you ever got around to the T3/T4 hybrid turbo? I didn't see it anywhere posted in your ad..
