I guess it would depend on what year of car you have. Whether it has air bag and cruise control. You probably could remove the air bag and go without but cruise control is nicely set up on the 1990s steering wheel so what would you do with the buttons?

It can be done. I've seen it you just need to get a hub adapter to make the new steering wheel fit. Good luck getting the old one off!

You'll need a steering wheel puller. I hope you got a buddy that's a mechanic or can locate a shop that'll rent/loan you one.

steering wheel

You can get your steering wheel repaired and should not run any more than $100 at most. I have a company that repairs automotive interiors and we service more than 300 new car dealers/used car departments. We do at least 1 steering wheel per day. Check with the USED CAR MANAGER of any new car dealership and find out whom they use for their interior repairs. If the guy is any good he should have your steering wheel looking like new.Takes about an hour at most to do it right.
