1985 won't start
Is NA 1985 300zx. i was redoing interior carpet to different color and had to unplug vats system (underneath passenger seat) and ever other wiring underneath the passenger seat and driver seat. When I went to install battery wasn't getting any power so I thought maybe vats but now I can't find one plug in underneath the passenger seat but I feel like that can't be the culprit. I undid the interior like 3 weeks ago so I don't rememebrr where every little bolt and wire goes to. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly thanked

Congrats on taking on a pain-in-the-butt job! You got energy, space and time on your side.
You probably already downloaded your factory service manual from XenonZ31 Reference . The electrical diagrams in your manual are complete and if you can follow them (you can get them printed out on 11x17 and then trace the circuits with colored pens) you can figure out what is supposed to go where. (You will DOMINATE the whole harness, dude)
If photos are possible under there (it takes a $2K Nikon or a $40 phone with flash) you could post them and get responses here from guys who have done what you are doing. I haven't. But I would really like to see photos of your finished work! Please post them here when you are ready. Thanks.

To post photos, sign in, click Post Reply, write your reply, click on the little paper clip to the right of the smiley face just above the text box, locate (browse) your photos, click on them, they list, click Upload, click Close This Window, click Submit. Easy enough?
Just do it! Thanks!
