$3200 and no drive train? Really? Back out! Yes the body looks OK from the photos but it is NOT worth that much.

That's $2000 USD at today's rates. CAD ain't that bad!

Anyway OK, you got screwed. Let's make the best of it. Maybe there's gold in the tool boxes. We'll be here to help unscrew as much as we can.

Oy vey you guys. They are very scarce up here in Canada, for him to find one that is not rusted out is actually pretty rare. I would have paid easily 2k for a non rusty shell as well. You have to realize, not every area is same pricing as where you might be. Supply is super low here. If he was to buy a good shell from the states for 500, by the time he shipped it up, it would be same. No matter how you cut it. You guys would laugh at what some are going for. No floors, no frames, barely runs, 5k+, sitting in a farm field for past 20 years in the snow, 5k+. Its just what it is. If you find something cheaper, you got REALLY LUCKY and bought it from some lady that doesn't have google. We all wish we lived in super dry climates, with Z's up the bum for cheap, but unfortunately we don't. Good luck with your project Bandit, what are your plans for the drive train?

Good points Skully. Was almost thinking of sending my parts car shell up to Canada when you pointed out it would be awful by the time it got there.

Bandit, we stand by ready to support your Z project. Tell us about your skill level, what you want to do with the Z and so on.

Get yourself the factory service manual (FSM) for your particular model year. They can be downloaded for free at "xenons30.com". Browse around the site and you'll find the manuals pretty quick.

Welcome to ZDriver !

You have already made your commitment to that Z and it can be the same hot ride it used to be. It's just waiting for you to put in the rest of the time and effort and dollars it will need. That's the way Zs work. Easy to love the look and the idea of the ride. Zs always need more than just love - but that's definitely the right place to start. The love keeps the energy flowing.

It is just a machine, after all, built by humans and can be brought back to like-new by humans. So long as you don't get frustrated or run out of patience, it can and will run like new. That Z will be the ride of your life and return all the effort you have put in for many miles.

Anyway, just ignore the flamers here. They flame out of habit and get a charge out of it. The guys you want to talk to as you work on that Z really are here too - and they are ready to help you. Just make sure your questions are clear and everybody can see/understand exactly what you are trying to do at each step when you post. It will take some serious work to get her on the road again - but you knew that when you bought her. Take your time and don't run out of patience or money. She will return all your work to you for many, many miles. Thanks for posting. Relax - and welcome again.
