Gem of a "barn" find. A wonderful old lady i work with sold me my dream. It was a project for her are her father. She got it in 1988 and had the rocker panels and fenders redone, new brakes all around new clutch, flywheel and had it painted. At the time it was her daily driver. She parked it in 1989. It sat under a car cover in her carport. Yes friends that's over 20years. it took 7 years of me practically begging her to sell it to me. Last month she realized that with her fathers health failing she wasnt ever going to get it back up and knowing my LOVE for them she caved. Ive had 7 280zx's and 1 280z V8 swap and loved them all. I have not, however, ever driven let alone owned a 240. Its all original under the hood. L24, early E88 head and twin SUs. As you would suspect ALL the rubber is shot, tires, hoses, weatherstripping all kaput. But when i got her home after her extended nap i put fresh gas in a soda bottle and ran a line to the fuel pump. with a fresh battery and 2 shots of starting fluid she woke right up. First attempt....within 2 seconds that bullet proof L24 roared back to life. I am planning a full rebuild of the engine with a L28 long block so im not worried about the rings i trashed dry firing an engine thats been sitting for 23 years. Her asking price......$750.00 Theres no typo there $750!!! i offered her $1000 sight unseen and she said she wouldnt feel right because it didnt run. Read more ยป
