Project 300zx shell
Here is a pic of the Skyline. This is what made the Skyline name famous through out the racing world. I have owned a R32 GTR but this is by far a much better car as far as balance, acceleration and good ole plain notority.

As far as I know there are only 3 2-door hakosuka's in the US. The first is in Florida. His website is www.71skylinegt-r.com. I will be joining him in Panama City the weekend of the 14th in March for a NOPI car show. His car is in much better shape than mine. But I purchased mine with the intent of doing a restoration anyway. The second is in the New York area. The second is rumored to have been painted gold with spray paint. I cannot imagine someone actually doing this to such a car. I would like to be in contact with this owner if anyone out in cyberspace can help. The 3rd being mine. I did know of a 4-door in California. Not in the best shape either. Was recently sold though. As far as getting one in the motherland. Not the easiest thing to do. They generally do not pop up in the classifieds ads. Best way to find one for sale is word of mouth within certain car club circles. Does anyone know of a reputable L series engine builder in the southeast? I have all the pieces to do my 3.1 liter build-up. Lacking a knowledgeable shop to help with final assembly and clearances. Thanks

WOW! Now that sounds like a car that's has some sentimental value! If you would like, I know I'd like to hear more on it along your build. Keep us updated on that project for sure. You've got quite a treasure on your hands it seems.

Thanks to greenmonster for the offer, but I don't think I'll be able to travel that far. If you were closer that would have been such a once in a lifetime deal, but that's a bit too far to drive.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm looking for a 1990 or later model. Sorry. I need it as a project.

well im in the same boat id like to find something that I can drive and fix up body and interior as I go just needs to be fairly reliable. Ive got about 2,000 to spend if it werent for my 240 project thats fulls swing I would have more. If anybody know of anything 90+ any config let me know. Location not necessarily important but if its anywhere close to ohio that is a huge plus.
