Rear Parking brake cable

I need the rear section that goes between the two calipers. It is attached to the center cable by the adjuster device. Mine is frozen pretty good on one side inside the cable sleve.

1982 280ZX 2+2 = I don't know if it has to be from a 2+2 or not. Probably a 2-seater would work.

Thanks! I think I'll go for that one.
Or I can buy a generic cable brand new for about $20-30 and rig it up.

True, that is a great deal. But there are also others that are just selling parts off one car that they have. If they're not trying to make a living at it then they can sell the parts pretty cheap. I'll keep you in mind though. I do need another one some day soon as my 1984 Maxima has the same rear brake setup and that parking brake is frozen too. gotta sell some parts to get money for more parts!

Someone did mention they thought the rear section was $60 bran new from Nissan... I never did verify that. if so, $50 shipped for a used part does seem a bit steep. anyway, TTYL.

max cable

bleach, i have an 83 max [my kids call him mad max]. he's a nice brown with tan leather-only 53k on the odometer. just picked it up from alabama. 5spd and runs great. park brake cable=frozen. different cables than the zx-actually 2 pieces vs. 1. i had hoped to use the zx cable...wound up ordering one from the dealer, about $130 for both of them.

someone had put a glasspak in place of the converter so when i got it we removed the rear muff and put a straight pipe in it's place-max hums a nice tune now!

I was just under both of my cars and they are both two piece. That's why I said I needed the rear section for the Z... I guess the guy on eBay didnt' specify what it really was. It might be a different cable for the earlier rear calipers on the 79-81 280ZX! My maxima rear calipers match the 82-83 280zx rear calipers if you're familar with the difference between the early and late ZX calipers.
