Ive got a 5-speed out of an '80 coupe.

 

Im pretty sure Ford used a t5 in the 5.0 mustanges. I dont know if the bolt pattern is the same but I think it is

 

Ford T-5s will not work with our cars, even if the bolt pattern was the same.

 

An 80 couple tranny is a non-turbo, right?

anyway, Eric if you find a T5 let me know. I've got the T5 driveshaft for a 2-seater 280ZX. (if the tranny you get doesn't come with one) Send me an email or PM.

The last part you'll need is the differential flange from the front of a turbo diff. You can get one of those from any 1982-83 280ZX turbo (2 seat or 2+2) that had a T5.

The automatic tranny driveshaft will not fit the T5 and neither will the Nissan driveshaft from a non-turbo transmission. I just did this swap in my non-turbo Z, but mine is a 2+2 so I had to find a 2+2 turbo driveshaft. (longer)

Thanks i actually went to a junkyard and had the thing cleaned up and rebuilt
