if you dontmind towing it. I can get you one for about 800.00 or less, with a lot of spare parts. It will not have a title cause i am getting it from junk yard. The body is rust free, the frame rails are in great shape. All the interior is there and i can throw in some extra parts like ECU, AFM and guages.

Let me know if this will work for you.

At the risk of hijacking this thread, I'm also looking for a 280 (instead of some body work on the 240 in my avatar). Must have a solid body & complete interior, I'll take care of the motor & tranny .

EDIT- Must be a manual tranny car, and must NOT be a 2+2!

I'm in Florida, so it will most likely need to be shipped, which cuts down the amount I can pay.

Any of the above that have been mentioned feel free to email some pics to me if you think what you have meets my needs.

Water in the oil It hasn't run for 2 years.
It was my daily driver for 8 years. Didn't smoke, had cold air. Light rust in all the usual Z places. 4 years ago it got all the fiberglass goodies, new interior and paint. I drove it to Canada ! 2 years ago I was freshening up the bodywork; derusting the rocker panels and blending the flairs when it just refused to start. I think it was a F.I. relay. I got a Mustang, got into other things and just stopped caring about it. When I moved I towed it to a mechanic and got the bad news.
The Good: it's not a 2+2, it is a 4 speed. It has Motorsport Aero valances ($200 each), flares ($100 each), Victoria British miniTail ($150) Prime 200 rims with 225/50-15 front and 265/50-15 rear. Motorsport Velour seats in good shape. Pioneer cassette with 6X9s in the luggage riser and 6.5s in kick panels. So many new parts in '01.
The Bad: water in the oil. Rust in the rocker panel, lower doors, under the battery, all the usual places. Front tires dry rotted. Needs Mustache bar bushings. Dash cap cracked. Driver side carpet. Console is not good. Needs paint again.
I live between Mobile and Pensacola. Come tow it away.

That has most of the stuff I was going to add to my 240 (except the rust ). How are the floors? Do you accept Paypal & will it load onto a transporter OK? I'll have to weigh the cost of towing it like 600 miles vs. a transport service, and I think the transport service will be the best deal.

How are the floors? I haven't seen them lately. In '01 they were de-rusted with naval jelly and tanic acid. Some small holes were pached with bondo/chopped glass and there was a big hole around the drain plug on the passenger side that I patched with diamond mesh and bondoglas.
The back tires are ok, BfGoodrich TAs. I think the fronts will hold air but they do show cracking in the sidewall. It could probably be towed. I have a PayPal account but would need to get verified.
I'll try to get some fresh pics posted soon.

I can see the rust you mentioned in the last pic, and think the $1200 ($60 + $600 shipping) would be better spent on the 240 I have in my garage.

Thanks for the update. You may do better seling on www.zcar.com/classifieds , they have a free classified section.

It's all good; good luck with your 240. Your starting with a ligher car anyway.
I'm in no hurry to sell. In fact, I may part out and junk the rest. I just got too many other things to do - one is to build a garage.
