hello once again my friend misty hear in clovis new mexico needs a used 1984 300zx turbo wire harness for maunal tranny i do belive there all the same.. the engine had a small engine fire... from what she told me if any body has a wire harness for this make and modle please e-mail me whitetiger88101@yahoo.com with a reasanoble price i will even trade foir a 1981 280zx turbo auto tranny complete harness with ECU... thanks , KEN

 

ok my friend paul told me the 1981 280zx turbo engine harness will work on the 1984 300zx turbo ?

 

Not without some mod'ing.... the 280zx turbo uses a diff style dizzy & air metering sensor. Have you tried the local junk yards?

 

I've heard of using a Z31 turbo ECU and harness on an L28 turbo, but you have to do some minor mods and use the Z31 ECU.

You do not want to downgrade to a 280ZX ECU.. trust me. I'm using it because its there and it works. But really, the 280ZX turbo ECU is very basic and it sucks. Find a stock harness and keep the Z31 ECU in there. If anything, upgrade to a late 80's Z31 ECU. 1988/89 turbo are said to be a 16-bit ECU vs the 8 bit in the older ones. Everyone's out for those though so you'll pay a higher price if they know what they have.
