Wheel/tire help...

I have been wanting to get new tores and wheels for my car.

One of the Volk reps on 350Zmotoring gave ne a quote of $2400 for 18" TE-37's. I would have to get tires seperately.

I then checked performance Nissan. They have a deal package right now. I can get 18" silver Nismos with 275/245 Nittos for about $3200 including shipping.

Are both wheels about the same, quality-wise? They are of comparable weight (almost 8-10 lbs lighter than my stock rims, each).

Opinions please...

i would go with the volks just because they arent as bland as the nismo rims (in my opinion). both are nice, but the volks have a little more to them. also cant you get the volks in a wider size than the nismos??

i like both but the volks are slightly better to me.

I got the lmgt4 package from Performance, for less than 3k, but went down there for pickup. 1 thing to remember tho if you have tpms and want to keep it, you will have to sort out that as well.

Volks are nice but Im a Nismo fan

I'm kinda leaning towards the Nismos as well. A lil cheaper than the volks and I like the subdued look.

BTW, I'll show my ignorance... What are tpms?

Personally, both wheels look great and they're made by the same company. To me, the LMGT4 looks beefier than the TE37.

I love the LMGT4s. They look good, but low key. Plus they are light as hell. I've been thinking of selling my Maya's and getting a set of 19" LMGT4s, but there's no good reason to.

Go with the 19's unless your going to track the car. You will be happier in the long run. Look for a complete wheel and tire package to save on shipping. I got mine from the 350zonlinestore.com they are the same company as revonline.com. Volk sf challenges are my favorites but I wanted 20's.
