Track Video and Stuff

It was a nice day at Spring Mountain. Ran into another CS Z there, Mike from San Diego. Then later in the day a trailer shows up with 2 Stillen supercharged machines: a G35 coupe and a convertible CS Z.
I ran into the G35 on the track and let him go by to see if I could keep up. Nah. He had track tires that were 285f and 315r. Monster. The Z had a broken belt so they weren't able to get on the track, but they said it was alot quicker than the G. The Z guy said he's putting around 340 hp to the wheels. Would have been sweet, I would have demanded a ride.
Got some good video, too. This link takes you to a page, go to the bottom and click the free button, then the next page at the bottom has the video link.

Sweet. I'm definitely going to try that after I get a few more autoXs under my belt.

I was on that Vette for about 10min but he wouldn't let me pass. The only passing zone for that group was on the straightaway, where he had me in horsepower. If he would have let me pass, I would have left him behind.
Love the new tires (well, they were new). I cut about 5 or 6 seconds off my laps from before with my street rubber.
That same group is coming back in December. By the time, the folks at the track said their new extension will be open, going from 2.2 miles to 4.3 miles.

I cannot wait for that extension to be open. I am also looking into buying one of the condos that they are building on the track right on the inside of the turn before the straigtaway on the current 2.2 mile setup. Can somebody say TRACK PARTY'S!!!!!

You must do it. That would be absolutely insane. 24 Condos, I believe. That would be an incredible investment property - with all the groups coming in all the time and nowhere decent to stay in Pahrump. I'm sure you get free track time, too. Wow. I just talked myself into getting one.
The track owner also announced that they are in escrow on some land in Temecula (I believe) and they're planning on putting in a huge new track out there.

I e-mailed them about pricing and timing, but they haven't gotten back to me. I figure that I will rent it out on a day to day basis like a hotel room. I figure depending on the price, $50-$75 a night would pay the mortgage and still generate some profit. They run the Corvette schools almost every weekday and most of them are 2-3 day schools. I will just reserve it for myself when I am going to be running out there. To make it really cheap I could co-sign with one of you. My only concern would be a cleaning crew after every user.

Either way it would be a wicked idea. Especially if they get some bigger events with the new track. IRL or JGTC would be awesome. We could really hike up the room rates on that weekend. Or we could use it for ourselves with the best seats in the house.

I hope that when I get the details back, the numbers will work out. I cannot imagine them bieng too expensive given the location. Pahrump and in the middle of a race track doesn't appeal to many people lol.

Ok. Then I can be your Real Estate Agent and get a commission, which I will give to you so you can furnish the place. Deal...
