Selling The G

Long shot, but I figured I'd post this here...

If you know anyone who might be interested in a Lakeshore Slate 2005 G35 6MT Coupe, put them in contact with me. Yup, the G has got to go. 4300 miles, 5 months old. I just found out a few days ago that the company that I work for is eliminating 90% of the IT positions in entire corporation over the next 18 months. Outsourcing everything to IBM. Rather than look for another job in a field that I do not particularly like (although somewhat lucrative), I'm going to go back to school and get my law degree instead. But I need to sell the G to recoup the equity I have in it and to eliminate the payment associated with it. Any takers? Hehe...

Oh no! That's disappointing news... eBay would be a choice; sell it to local buyer/pickup. If not, I can have the car placed in our used car lot on base. Someone will definitely want one of those.

I've been a Mazda man since 2001! Infiniti/Nissan will always be in my blood though. I figure that if there's ever a time that fate is telling me to make a change, this is it. And besides, when I pass the bar, I will be able to afford a G and an M45! Hehe...I might take you up on the base lot Chris, if I don't get any buyers from the AutoTrader ad that I placed this week. I'll still be showing up to BWW meets, but in my Miatas...like the other girly men.

I'm also thinking about having the car appraised by Carmax. Anybody try that before?

Ahhhh no!!!!! Brian, I am sorry to hear about that. What happens if you are part of the 10% that they keep? Are you still going to quit and do the lawyer thing? Anyways, good luck on selling that beautiful car of yours.

AaronLV...here's the ad that I put up at G35driver. (Not that this is an ad per se, just passing the info along to someone who asked.)

5 months old, 4300 miles, Lakeshore Slate, Smoke leather interior, Premium, Aero w/spoiler, and Sport packages, garage kept, 3M clear bra, leather has been treated with Lexol from day 1, replacement fog lights to match HIDs, finish has been treated with 3 coats of Zaino, 19" forged aluminim rims from Ray's Engineering (standard), custom removable sub cabinet with 2-8" Audiobahn subs and 400W RMS Audiobahn amp, Bose 6CD changer, power sunroof, clear corners, oil changed to Mobil-1 full synthetic with Purolator Pure One filter.

Located in Las Vegas, NV. MSRP is $37,920 (Edmunds TMV is $37,298)+ Clear Bra $550 + stereo upgrade $450 = $38920 Asking $34k firm.

Mike, even if I'm in the 10% they keep, it will come with a nice demotion with no room to move up in my field within the company. Rather than hunt for another job at another company which might feel free to trade my employment for a 1 cent stock return, I want to have my own business and be resposible for my own destiny. Ya know. So the lawyer path will allow me to make enough money to start buying real estate, businesses, etc., and retire by 55. Damn, I'm revealing too much of my dastardly plan....

Well that plan sounds better for you Brian. Best of luck to you. So does this mean you will be nowhere to be found while you are studying for the BAR exam?

I still be out and about in the Miatas. It's not like I'm selling the G and buying a Hyundai Accent! The bar exam is not for a few years, my friend. I can't hide for that long...

The only reason I put the Zaino comment in there is just to show that I actually cared about the car. Most G35 Coupe drivers are "car people" and know what Zaino is and what it does for the car!

Dude,
I don't think that they allow blatant "For Sale" ads to be posted on zdriver.com without paying for them. This thread was only me letting some of the local 350Z, G35, and other friends that I have met here in Vegas that I have to sell my G because of a pending lay off, fully knowing that none of them would want to buy it. Don't be surprised if the thread gets pulled because of your posts. If you are really trying to sell an old 280, you might want to check with Sin City Zs. They are a local club of older Z cars.

Lol! I was going to say something about that, but I figured I'd let someone else pick it up. 4Sale, I think you should start slowly, like taking remedial English before moving on to ENG101.
