For Sale: 17" Track wheels and tires

I've got a set of Yokohama Advan A032R H Compound for sale, more info here...
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....el=ADVAN+A032R
They are 255/40/17 on stock 17" Nissan wheels for the rear, and 235/40/17 on 17" Nissan wheels for the front. I used these for 4 days at the track in Pahrump and 1 or 2 autocross days. They are a great option for someone that wants to start tracking and doesn't want to risk their regular wheels/tires. PM if interested. Local buyers preferred.

FALSE ADVERTISING They aren't the track model wheels for those confused as to if Nissan made 17" track wheels. They are just the wheels he used on the track. Your welcome Rob, and good luck with the sale. How did you like those tires by the way? And are you done track racing or are you going with a different setup?

Yeah - I'm probably going to put some R compounds on my current 18" wheels in the next few months.

Nice! What wheels are you going to get for street driving?

Oh ok cool. Why don't you get the same set up that I am getting...

18"x 9.5" Nismo LMGT-4s +30 offset
Michellin Pilot Sport Cup Tires
285/30/18 Front
315/30/18 Rear

This is the same setup that the guys from VRT use. I don't know how they squeeze those tires on a 9.5" rim, but they do and it works.

I'm gonna do something similar with my wheels, which all have a +40 offset. 18x8 f and 18x9 rear. I think I can squeeze 265/35/18 on the front and 295/30/18 on the rear. Run this by your VRT boys and see if they agree with the setup. Currently I have 245/40F and 275/40R on those wheels.
I will most likely go with the Pilot Sport Cups as well. None of this will happen until March or so...

fwiw, Pilot sport cups take forever and a half to get up to temp. You guys might be alright since you have more weight than us but I know on the S2000's you might as well throw away your first couple of laps every session on sport cups and I htink they are slower than RA1s also. They'll last you forever though and instead of cording them you'll probably heat cycle them till they become harder than street tires kind of like the A032R's.

and forget using them at autocrosses

the porsche guys dont like them so much because they only work for a few laps. first few are throw aways, then they are great, then the overheat and they slip and slide. and i think your cars weigh about as much as a 911, so take it for what its worth.

I would love to get RA1s but they don't come in those sizes. Also, from the guys that are doing my TT install, they say that these are their favorite tires yet besides the track compound Hoosiers. I was going to get Pirelli Corsas but they got some bad reviews on TireRack.com. I am also not worried about autocross.

Why not go with 275/35r18 RA1s all the way around? Should work pretty good and you'd have some more rotating options.

Because I want the wider 285/315 setup. I am going to need all of the tire I can get under there. 550wtq > 275s.

^^^That's gonna be sick Mike. Your car will be to mine as my car is to stock. It's gonna take a while to learn how to drive that bad boy on the track.

Tell me about it. I don't even know what to expect...Hopefully I am just scaring myself and its not going to be as hard to drive or as fast as I think it will be.
