Out Of Service

Sometimes I get called to work as an instructor at Spring Mpuntain Motorsports in Pahrump. I was involved in an accident at the track on Monday and went to the Emergency Room. The x-rays show that I have a fractured Clavicle (broken collarbone). I will be out of work for 8 - 12 weeks.

Sorry I don't have a cool story about a spectacular crash in a new Z06. The pittyfull truth is that I fell out of a golf cart in the paddock.

Awwww man. Get well soon. I hear that broken collar bones can be fairly uncomfortable.

So far 3 collar bone breaks for me. You'll be back up and running in 8 weeks as long as it wasnt a full break and overlap. 2 of mine broke all the way thru and are overlapped 1.5 inches per side. Oh ya, that track claimed my last one too, a major get off on the exit of 2.

THe most uncomfortable part is the constant smell of that damn sling that goes directly under your armpits

Good luck on the recovery, when you get back up and running, I'll be more then happy to help you with that roll cage and safety net build for the golf cart you mentioned

Ahhh geeze John! That sucks. Get better soon and next time, stick to the race cars, they are apparently safer .

I'm lucky... I can't break my right clavicle... it's already broken and won't heal.
