New toy...

Tried to make last night's Sonic meet, but didn't leave dealership to too late...

Sold the Z and bought another Z...

I'm now the proud owner of a 50th Anniversary edition Z06 (red). Got a good deal on a low mileage one (17k miles)...

See you guys next week to show off the wheels.

It's an '03 C5 Z06, torch red. No convertible. Compared to the 350Z... Hrmm.

Let's say the 350Z feels like an agile dancer with strength and poise. The Z06 is a brute monster. It doesn't drive you where you want to go; it grinds itself through the asphalt, tearing it up as it goes. The torque is simply amazing.

It's going to have to take me some getting used to this car. I don't quite have the respect that will be needed to keep myself out of trouble. But I'm learning.

Sweet ride! There's one almost identical to your that I've seen at Red Rock casino several times. Same year and color with black rims, blacked out tail lights and the plate reads PRSHKLR I think.

Congrats. Bunch of guys in my F-Body club are moving up to the Z06. Check out www.lvfbody.com if you have any questions about the best bang-for-the-buck mods.

Part of me wants a new GTR when them come out, but another part of me wants to get a C5 Z06 and twin turbo it.

Nice congratution!

I belive this car has tq 400lb.ft at the flywheel. Can you imagine a car has 750lb.ft almost twice of that power and weight of the car less than 3,000lbs? I hope this year its going to make over 1,000 rwtq.

I'll let you ride with me some time.

Thanks all for the compliments...

Well, I learned what my first mod will be... CAGS defeat. CAGS is a crap system on the vette that tries to make you have to shift from 1st to 4th (locking out 2nd and 3rd gears). It will engage this system if you rev first slowly. I guess GM installed it as a way to get past having to charge a gas guzzler tax.

I've read about that! Some say it was a way to, like you said, to "improve" fuel economy, thus skipping out on paying for gas guzzler tax.
