Meet This Sunday 7/3

Looks like I'm going to have to pass too. Went out w/some friends tonight to go watch "War of The Worlds," which is an awesome flick BTW. I was already over there tonight and really don't feel like driving all the way back out to Charleston and Ft. Apache again. Maybe some other time.

Hey guys,
It's midnight...just got home after a 14 hour work day. I was booked today (at the last minute) on a shoot for Comedy Central at the House of Blues, tonight (Sat.) and tomorrow. I will defintely be in the parking lot behind PF Changs at 9:00 AM, but I can only stay about 15 minutes because I've got to be back at the HOB for a 10:00 AM crew call to work until midnight again. Sorry, but this is the way my work schedule goes...I can never really make plans to do anything! If anyone is still coming, let me know....I'll check this site in the morning.

Hey it's Vegas. There are allot of other things to do most of the time and most people dont work a traditional 9 to 5. Mike you told me that the G35 group/club is just about dead. I suggest that we be satisifed with a meet every month or so, or join another club, sincityZ ?? or a non-model specific club. BBW Wednesday meets always turn out lots of people with different makes of cars.

By the way, if you're serious about having Dyno-Comp install your ST, Richard Garcia, the owner, will be in Vegas on July 10 at a place called Horsepower House near the Speedway. I was told about this by the guys at Motorsports Direct. They're right here in Vegas (I bought my Tokico D-Specs from them for $489!). You can call them at 800-245-1001....they have all the info. You could stop by and talk with Richard in person.....maybe even bring him a set of the install instructions from APS' website and see if he'll give you a price. He quoted me $2300 for the TT, including tuning.
I love that Stillen nose!!

I just received confirmation from Richard Garcia (owner of Dyno-Comp) that he will be doing some dyno work near the Speedway at 8 AM on Sunday. If anyone is seriously interested in going FI, this is the guy to meet to do your install.....it's well worth the drive to Scottsdale to have them work on your car....one of the best shops in the country.

The local Miata club is a collection of older people (40yrs+) that use it more for a social club than a true car club. But that's what holds it together. We just don't have enough people with 350s or Gs that are interested in having a club. Here in lies the problem...we have about 8 people between the 2 groups that may or may not attend any one event/meeting. If you have 50% of the people show up (which is generous), you only have 4 people...which isn't much of a club! On the other hand, a club like the Miata club has about 30 members. If you have 50% of the members show up (again, generous), you have 15 people there. And that's good.
The BWW group is the closest thing to a club we have, my peeps. There are enough people showing up that even if half of the regulars don't show, there's still a good turnout. Karim should make it an official club. Maybe something like SCELV...Sports Car Enthusiasts of Las Vegas. There are so many different people with different cars, with different interests showing up, there's something there for everyone. Gearhead talk, race talk, general good conversation. Seems like a good thang to me.
Hmmm....

Here's what I think about the club. We had some good turnouts when I was planning things to do all of the time. I don't know if it was because the club was new and people were excited, or if it was just because I would keep on planning things. I, now, don't have the time to plan things or even show up to most of them. I think that somebody should step up and start organizing events and meets and if that doesn't work, then there is obviously not enough interest.
