Greetings from Melbourne!!! My buddy does have the internet at his house so I should be able to check in every once in a while. Yogi is right, the only drain that I have seen go CCW is the shower. The toilets all seem to just fill up and suck it all down without any swirling whatsoever.
The cars here are pretty cool and I had my first experience piloting a RHD car in a Holden Commodore SS. Pretty fun and interesting, but a little wierd getting used to driving on the other side of the road. The have a lot of awesome cars here and they are even cooler in RHD. Lots of Supras, Skylines, Silvias, etc... I have also seen a BMW M3, M5, Porsches, SL500s, etc. I also enjoy seeing cars that we don't get here like Peugot (?SP), Holden, Alfa Romeo, Renault, etc...

Back to the cars... Saw a few Zs yesterday finally. For some reason, they don't sound anything like the US ones. Saw my first exotic, Ferrari 360 Modena, that was nice. I am pretty accustomed to driving on the other side of the road as well. They also have these crazy "hook turn" things where you make a right hand turn from the far left lane.

Yes, it's a myth. The myth stems from science though. The Coriolis force is a pseudoforce, much like a centrifugal force, resulting from a rotating coordinate system (i.e. the Earth as it spins). This is what causes weather patterns to spin (like hurricanes) however, a toilet bowl is too small an are for the Coriolis force to have any effect.
