Have a great trip! Don't get bit by any ginormous spiders, snakes, or get punked by any kangaroos. Happy holidays.

Urban Myth. Been there.

Anyways, enjoy the trip Mike. Look for a platypus while you're down there.

Nah, the toilet is more of a "how was it designed thing". I actually filled the sink and drained it a bunch of times to see if went the other way though. It didn't.

Greetings from Melbourne!!! My buddy does have the internet at his house so I should be able to check in every once in a while. Yogi is right, the only drain that I have seen go CCW is the shower. The toilets all seem to just fill up and suck it all down without any swirling whatsoever.

The cars here are pretty cool and I had my first experience piloting a RHD car in a Holden Commodore SS. Pretty fun and interesting, but a little wierd getting used to driving on the other side of the road. The have a lot of awesome cars here and they are even cooler in RHD. Lots of Supras, Skylines, Silvias, etc... I have also seen a BMW M3, M5, Porsches, SL500s, etc. I also enjoy seeing cars that we don't get here like Peugot (?SP), Holden, Alfa Romeo, Renault, etc...

The computer is in the room I am in . As far as the babes, go, the only one I need is sleeping right next to me and booze are usually involved with our daily routine here.

Back to the cars... Saw a few Zs yesterday finally. For some reason, they don't sound anything like the US ones. Saw my first exotic, Ferrari 360 Modena, that was nice. I am pretty accustomed to driving on the other side of the road as well. They also have these crazy "hook turn" things where you make a right hand turn from the far left lane.

Science time:

Yes, it's a myth. The myth stems from science though. The Coriolis force is a pseudoforce, much like a centrifugal force, resulting from a rotating coordinate system (i.e. the Earth as it spins). This is what causes weather patterns to spin (like hurricanes) however, a toilet bowl is too small an are for the Coriolis force to have any effect.

The toilets here are wierd by the way. Instead of urinals they have troughs, and each toilet has a seperate flush button for pee and poop.

to add to that the weather systems will rotate clockwise or counter clock wise depending ont he pressure system (high or low) they are forming in. i forget whcih way but lets say CCW up here in a high pressure CW up here in a low pressure system then down there CCW in a low pressure and CW in a high pressure system. its the opposite but dont think all storms will spin one way. hurricans always spin one way though becusae they are all low pressure systems. hurray for aviation meteorology. i gots me a B+ in there
