I'm back!

Actually I have been back for a week or so, but I have been extremely busy playing catch up with work and trying to get back onto an American sleep schedule. Anyways, Aussie was pretty awesome and it was really cool to learn how to drive RHD cars on the opposite side of the road and I am actually having a little trouble adjusting back lol. I don't go on the wrong side of the road or anything but their turn signal lever is on the opposite side as ours so I keep hitting my wipers instead of the turn signal.

In car news, Kelli has ordered some fun stuff for her Z; a Motordyne MREV 2 and 5/16" spacer setup as well as a Stillen wing. We also put my old Kinetix resonated test pipes on there just before we left and it was the perfect compliment to her HKS Ti exhaust.

In even bigger car news, I no longer own my G35. I am now the proud owner of a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR in slate gray. I am not going to lie to you guys this EVO has my heart. It is insanely fun to drive. Just picked it up tonight so no pictures yet but it looks just like this with the exception of the front license plate...

I am just excited to get back into a car with a 6MT. It also already came with an HKS exhaust and Injen intake. So I will be showing up to the meets from now on in Kelli's 350Z only.

Anyways, how has the club been. I see nobody carried on with the Tuesday night meets?

Do I smell a hypocrite? "... an Evo is nothing but a suped up Lancer..."

Good job! Let's see some pictures soon!

Great deal and i bet some of us won't mind it if you brought the evo to a meet or two. No tuesday meets have happened do to the holiday season and you know how that is. I hope we start to get it going again soon though.

Schweet! I'm sure you're not going to leave it stock. Now tell us, what are your plans for the Evo?

I don't know. I don't want to get too crazy with it to the point where I am running faster times at the track than with the Z. The plan is just wheels, springs, in-dash DVD, downpipe, short shifter, re-flash, and leather upholstry.

Its already got the HKS exhaust and Injen intake, but I will probably switch the intake to something else as well as swap out the stock BOV for a stock one from an EVO IX.

Congrats on the car... I raced my friends EVO 9 just after driving back to OC from picking up my car with the SC. All he had was a Stage 3 clutch?? and a turbo down pipe I think... He had me by 1 car. Crazzy fast! ... I hear with $3-4k you can make it a 10-11 sec car.

Yeah, I don't know what makes them so fast, but they have a lot of potential, even with the stock turbo. How do you like the SC?

I love the SC... Its pretty much everything that I wanted. Although, Im not 100% sure Im making full boost. But I dont have my boost guage yet to know. Being that I got it installed during New Years weekend, the shop was closed to get it dyno'd so Im not sure what numbers Im putting down. (I really dont care because thats not why I bought it..but still just to know) I have make some time to go back down to have my Greddy Emanage Ultimate installed since the harness was missing from the kit..so Im running the stock SS box that came with the SC. But for the time being.. I love it, and so do all of my friends! LOL

Finally went out to take some pictures of the new EVO. Snapped about 7 of them before I got too cold and took off. All of them came out pretty crappy. Here are the two best ones...

Thats a fake license plate by the way .

its more of a soft rev limit than launch control. as soon as you engage the clutch it will rev freely.
