I need a new hobby.

I want to start doing something, but Im not exactly sure what.

I really want to get into riding (street bikes) but... the safety issue is the main thing about that.

I may possibly look into quading, but.. I dont have a truck to haul them. (as well with sea doo's)

I was thinking maybe RC planes, but... I went and bought a $300 one 2 weeks ago and it didnt last 30 seconds. (yeah, I know... but at least it was a good laugh.)

Maybe, RC cars?? but... I dont know, doesnt seem THAT much fun.

Maybe paintballing... Its a thought, just not a fan of having welts for weeks at a time.

Theres always modding cars, but... I think Im pretty much done with my car. And with cars.. its just too expensive and theres always someone that has more than you...it just never ends.

It would be cool to join a race team that do real events and what not (like what mike and scott have going) but I just dont have the cash for that or what is required to do something like that.

Maybe flying kites?? ... eh, boring.

Computer games... I used to be all over this..but its kinda died off for me. I may get back into it as like a side-hobby (is that even such thing?)

I need to find something with a motor... and thats not too expensive or dangerous

Get a track car. Something old, cheap and easy to get track prepped. Something like an older Honda (CRX or Civic), an older RWD Carolla or a 240SX. There's also a bunch of guys in town that race 125cc four-stroke pit bikes. My buddy's got two, one setup for the track and one for the dirt. You can buy 'em new for $1200 for a decent one and slowly tune it. Or, you can buy them pre-modded for a few thousand. Really fun to race them. It's like any other motorcycle racing, but at much slower speeds so that get-off's don't hurt so bad.

Street bikes are way fun, but you have to ride a little paranoid. Watch out for old broads in mini-vans.

i play CS source, and R/C planes, its a sinch, im actually into 3D aerobatics now, you just need to know how to start out, get a dude to teach you to fly at a local field, they do it for free! lol. im trying heli's now did R/C cars but just not the same fun. and paintballing is to expensive to just shoot people lol. or you can fly real airplanes! i do that to... but if you want a little more cost effective get your gliders license, you can do it in only 10 hours of training or some crap like that. lol.

You could always get some of those gas powered RC street cars. My friend used to have a really nice Subie replica one and did smaller RC autocross tracks and obsticle courses.

There is always the gym. It's good for you and it's kinda like your modding yourself out, heh.

I say go for the motorcycle, preferably a sportbike. Think about it, for a mere $11000, you can have a 9 second vehicle....right outta the crate. Of course there are risks involved....take a class, and just remember to ride very defensively....I pretty much assume I'm invisible....and yeah watch out for the old broads in minivans....and also the teenage girls talking on cell phones!

mmmm.... teenaged girls ^^^^^ gaawwwlllllllllleleelllll (drool)

yeah my only fear of owning a motorcycle is the other drivers, one night after finishing working on a gixxer 750 (this is at night using headlights) our buddy took it down the street opened it up on teh way back only to 40, minivan stops at a stop sign at the intersection, then turns out right infront of him, our buddy locked up teh brakes and laid down the bike. the van just stops looks at him as our friend gets up and starts walking towards him then teh van just floors it off.... bike had frame sliders so it was alright only on crack in the lower fairing around the crank case. and 11k if brand new and a 1000cc mike, new R6 you can get for about 8.5k or get ued for around 5k thats what ill most likley do. and then you can also take a stunt class
