Hoover Dam Photo Op
Talked to my bosses today and they gave the go ahead if you all are interested.
Downstream from the Dam, there is a helopad that has the dam as a backdrop. Would be an awesome spot for a photo. If interest is shown, I can set everything up so we can get some Z's down there. I figure I could fit 10-12 cars with no problems. The area in question is on a restricted access road, so this opportunity does not come up often.
Let me know if interested. I would need about 1 week's notice to get everything greased.

One important thing that we should do is get in idea about what the lighting is like out there. Is it best to shoot at dawn or dusk? Also, if the dam is lit at night it could be an awesome spot for a night photo. I could bring out some lights.

Either day or night works for me. The dam is lit up pretty good at night.
Id daytime is preferred, how would the 28th of this month be? I have that day off plus less workers at the dam that day, so the access road will be pretty much empty.
If nighttime is preferred, then Tuesdays or Wednesdays work for me, as those are my days off.
Roneski, if you want, I can take you to the location in advance so you can scout the location. Just let me know when.

Tell ya what, tomorrow at work, I'll take some photos of the spot and post them here so you all can see. I'll also do some nighttime test shots of the dam.

If we can fit 12 cars down there then I say we keep it to 12 cars. Ray, you are more than welcome to come since there are some spots left.
Dennis, can we only fit 12 cars on the helopad or 12 cars down there period. If we have more than 12 cars will that work. I would like Ray to go and I would also like to bring both mine and Kelli's IS300s as well.

I'm pretty sure I can fit 12 cars on the helopad, possible a few more, with some coordination. As far as bringing more than 12, that's not a problem.
We could spend as much time as we need down there as well. Up to a couple hours (if needed) is not an issue.
