Good paint shop needed. ATTN: Sam & Rob209

Ok, at the toy drive I was talking to somebody about paint shops and a couple of you guys suggested a shop to me and I forgot who it was and what the shop was called. I think it was Sam & Aarif who had good experiences there. If so, what was the shop?

Also, Rob, in the good shops/bad shops thread you said you had a good experience with Hi-Tech Paint & Body but I went through the phone book and can't find a Hi-Tech Paint & Body or a High Tech Paint & Body. Do you still have their number?

The reason I ask is because Kelli got a Stillen wing for her car and needs it painted. I can't get a hold of Glass House Kustom Paint, which is who I used for my C-West kit.

Thanks!

When I ran over the ladder, my insurance sent me over to Sunland Collision on Boulder Hwy. Ask for Robbin. They got everything of mine taken care of. Maybe I should do a quick write up about them.

They did an awesome job. When took my car into them after running over the ladder, I handed over the keys and pointed out the different things that happend to the car as a result of running over the ladder. They even tried to replace the aftermarket stuff that I told them about. They ordered the clear corners (I told them to get it from Perf. Nissan) They tried to replace my grille, but couldnt find the right match so they credited me $250 off my $500deductable (even though the grille costed me $30 on ebay). They ordered me a new front bumper and resprayed my hood (even though they were rock chips from the freeway) and blended the fenders/door panels. And also replaced all plastic and wheel liner panneling that got ripped out from under the car from the ladder. And replaced a front tire that had a gash in it.

My only complaint about them was that my car was supposed to be done at a certain time, but things kept coming up with parts (under liner/tire) not coming in and they had my car an extra 4 days. Which really isnt their fault, except that my rental car was over-due according to my insurance and my insurance wasnt going to pay for the extra 4 days, and I told my insurance that I wasnt going to pay for the extra 4 days either. So... after a few days of calls and arguing. My insurance company just billed sunland for the extra 4 days.

So I guess, all in all... everything worked out and I got all my work done for $250 lol

Ok, but the quality of work was good right? Matches perfect, no orange peel, blend lines, etc..?

Quality of work was perfect. They did an awesome job matching and blending.. I couldn't tell the difference in what had been painted and what was original paint. They got a nice glossy shine after wet sanding(I think thats what they did) and buffing it.

Overall, quality of work was as if it came from factory. And they have a lifetime guarentee.

Hit-Tech is now known as;

Gerber Auto Collision & Glass
5415 S Decatur Blvd
Las Vegas, NV 89118
(702) 871-8555

I have used them twice in the past for work on my Z (insurance covered). They did an awesome job.

They have another location near 515/Sunset (the one I took my car to).

Nice! I absolutely love thet bumper. Favorite for the Z hands down. Now you just need a massive intercooler to sit behind there .
