Man, now all 3 of my cars are acting up lol. I still have the SC problem on the G that I have to look into tonight, the spings for the Z have not come in yet, and the Chevelle has a short or something somewhere thats draining the batteries. It started fine this morning, then I went to the doctor, came out and it was dead as a doornail. Got a jump, drove it to work, and I will probably have to get another jump so I can make it home lol. Needless to say, I won't be able to make it. I should just keep my cars stock from now on...

Possibility 1: The front pulley (the one you change for higher or lower boost), is broken somehow. This is the pulley that is making the noise and I can see it "wabbling" so to speak. I am really hoping that it is this scenario because it is an easy fix and VRT has another pulley laying around that they can ship out to me as soon as I give them the word. Who knows, I may even swap to the gold Stage 3 pulley
.Possibility 2: Its not the pulley itself, but the keyway that the pulley is attached to. The keyway is basically like an extension for the belt system. There is a belt that connects the black pulley (the broken one) to the crank pulley. The black pulley is connected to the keyway. There is another pulley on the other end of the keyway. This pulley is connected by belt to the blower itself. So the crank drives the black pulley, the black pulley drives the keyway, the keyway drives the other pulley, and the other pulley drives the supercharger. Get it? Anyways, if the keyway is indeed the problem, I will have to either get a new one fabricated or see if Stillen sells that part by itself. This in reality is probably whats causing the problem, but there are a few things that sway my opinion towards Possibility #1. First off, I can clearly see the black pulley wabbling, but the pulley on the other end of the keyway is running smooth. Also, both pulleys on either side of the keyway are running at the same speed when idling. If the keyway were the problem, I would think that either both pulleys would be wabbling and making noise or one of them wouldn't be spinning at all.
Either scenario is more a a fluke problem than a flaw in the supercharger design. I tried tightening the black pulley more last night in hopes that it was just loose, but that didn't fix the problem. I plan on taking that pulley off tonight to see if I can find anything else out. If its the keyway, hopefully thats also something that I can replace in my garage so I don't have to go all the way down to San Diego and leave my car there.
