Dessert Nissan - BS or Not

I went to Dessert Nissan to get the tire feathering problem resolved. The service guy said that my warranty expired 04/01/07. He said that since it's out of warranty it will cost $800 to repair the tire feathering issue.

I told him about the TSB and he replied that it doesnt matter. The warranty expired.

Is this some BS or what? Didn't they extend the warranty for the tire feathering since NIssan ****ed up?

TSB - TSB 03-006a 2003 Tire Road Noise When Braking - Revision (is it only for 2003?)

The service guy went off talking about that I would also have to get some suspension parts replaced.

I just called all the dealership and they are saying the samething.

The United Nissan didnt have a clue what tire feathering is.

So what gives? I think this is BS. I'm already starting to see the nasty side of Nissan.

**** the extended warranty.

They are money hungry , and would rather have you pay for it. All stealerships are like that. Just have Sears or someone else take care of it.

So the solution is to get the tires and wheels I want and get a good aligment.

Will that take care of this issue.

Thanks for the help.

I know it's kind of far away on Centennial, but give Planet Nissan a call. (702) 876-8000, IIRC.

Yeah they said they wont cover it but the solution was to get the alignment done. At least the didn't mention anything about replacing parts.
