Come With Me to LA

Does anybody not have anything to do on Monday April 11th? I made an appointment to have my ECU Reflashed at Technosquare in Torrance, CA for 1:00pm that day. I would rather not fly solo so if anybody wants to ride along, or follow me down there to have their ECU reflashed as well let me know. I will be making on long day out of it by driving down there, having my ECU Reflashed, and then driving back. I figure, if we leave at 7:30am that puts us at 4.5hrs drive time with one hour buffer zone before 1:00pm. Then it takes 1-2 hours for the ECU Reflash and we are back on the road by 3:00pm at the latest and home by 6:30 or 7:30pm. I will buy breakfast and lunch!

Its Thursday and I still have no wingman. Come on, I have a DVD Player so you can watch movies and everything lol. Honestly I really don't mind going solo, but if someone wants to go see how the ecu reflash works or get one done yourself thats cool with me. Plus you get out of Vegas, even if its ony for a day.

You guys missed out. The weather was awesome. The drive there was good. I had a little fun with a Ferrari 575 Maranello and found out that my concience doesn't kick in until 158mph. Thats a new personal best for me, don't know if I will ever do it again though. The guys at Technosquare were cool. I saw the coolest G35 that I have ever seen in my life. It was a twin turbo, forged motor, drift car putting out 500whp at 11psi of boost! It was bieng built for "Tarzan" to drift professionally in the D1 series. There was also another 2005 G35 that looked stock until you looked at the front and saw a big Greddy intercooler. Simpson Racing was right across the street so I checked that place out and that was cool also. There was traffic for the first hour on the way home but other than that it was smooth sailing.

Lucky you! I could've taken you to Alhambra for some good 'ol Hong Kong style chinese food! Fraggin' work... or for some of you, school (and work). Maybe next time! By the way, how much was the re-flash?

Yes the re-flash did yeild a noticable difference. That extra 500 rpm is awesome. It runs stronger. I was having no problem getting from 100mph to 158mph. When it was stock it took forever to climb to those numbers. I would recomend it to those who have exhaust and such that add top end power. The final price was $590. I would recomend going down there because they custom tune it to your mods, and get before and after a/f readings which they can't do if you just mail them the ECU.

Did they put you on a dyno or did they just have some sort of A/F sniffer?

They had an a/f sniffer that they put in the tail pipe and drove around the streets with it for a few minutes. The dyno sheet from Silver State said my peak A/F was 15.09 when it was actually 14.6

Yeah, I heard that the dyno sniffer can be nearly a point higher than what's really going on.

Man, I really want to go and get the reflash now.
