Car poop
My Z is running like crap.
1. I have the stock plenum on and my fuel/air ratio is screwed up and I'm running way rich. Hopefully when the V4 comes back that'll be fixed.
2. My oil pressure seems high. Stays around 90psi for a long time after startup. Never dips below 50-60psi unless the clutch is in. Clogged valve assembly??? Mobile1 Synthetic 10-40--always.
3. I installed new rotors and pads and the system is way too compact. The pads are gripping the rotors when the system is not engaged and they got reeeeeeaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllly hot. Do they need to be bled?
4. Rough idle. Could it be fouled plugs from sitting so long or a vacuum leak (probably a biproduct of a bad plenum seal)?

5. Your old lady rode it like Steve McQueen racing towards the sunset.
Take your car to Uehara Motorwerks. Maybe they can "werk" out your problems! <-- Oh no, the lame jokes... get me outta this dump or shoot me now!

1. Dunno.
2. Probably the sensor. Seems to be alot of that going around on 350Z-Tech
3. Are your brakes stock? Might be bad dust seals allowed dirt/water to get in to the pistons and siezed one or more.
4. Probably same thing that's causing problem #1. They sound related.

Thanks. I think I have the brakes figured out. I installed some shims to bring the caliper forward slightly and now the system spins freely. A brand new Kinetix plenum should be here and installed today.
On another note, after I finished the brakes, I went to drive it and got nothing out of the new battery Mike installed.
I'll drive it today and try to charge it up.

I'm kidding, Mike.

Well the brakes spin free, but they still squeal like a school bus. Anyone else want to take a look?
On a brighter note, the plenum finally showed at about 7 last night and I got that installed.
Battery is back to normal and able to hold a strong charge.

Well, Uehara still has my car and Mori is reporting a leak in the upper oil pan. Hopefully that is what is causing my high oil pressure. Still haven't heard anything about the brakes. More to follow.

Not boosted...running Nippon 0W-20 now. Yeah, still in Korea. I think I have a return assignment to Vegas and I should be there in Oct. I am tired of N/A power, so I will either go F/I or just by a faster car like a Z06 when I get back.
