Hey, is the challenge open to all car models? I couldn't find any restrictions... what cars are you all taking? and are there any requirements- helmet, rollbars, brakes,etc.

 

This is open to any production model car. Requirements are as follows...

Drag Racing - Helmet if running faster than 11.999 I think.
Track Racing - SNELL 95 or newer helmet, long sleeve shirt, long pants, close toed shoes.
Autocross - SNELL 95 or newer helmet

The track event requries a roll bar if you have a convertable with no factory roll bar.

I am bring my twin turbo 350Z, roneski is bringing his twin turbo G35, and turbo_jimbo is bringing his turbo MR2.

 

Registration is open to 20 participants so there should be 3 spots left.

i was thinking of running it on street tires just so i dont break anything... lol... but, i cant make it past the drag racing if i dont make it there...

i may end up being the evo times 2... but thats a lot of abuse for one car in one weekend. so we will see.

 

For those entered in the ***** Challenge, the driver's meeting is Saturday at 3:00pm, but they haven't decided on a solid place yet. The will also be taking pictures of the cars that night for the DVD.

I believe there are also still a few spots left for those who are still thinking about it, but you will not be able to register after the driver's meeting has been held.

And Jimbo, I hope you get the MR2 to the event. I want to SEE the speed I keep HEARING about.

That's SOME confidence in MR2. I hear there is a turbo Lotus with a little bit of power not to mention a turbo Miata as well. Lots of power, diviersity, & testosterone this year it appears.

I just want to be able to run all 3 events & have some fun!! Oh ya, I gotta beat Kam too as this is the reason he & I came up with this wonderful 3 day event!
