Autocross at stateline 11 Feb

Anyone running it , it will be my first event with my Z. I'm picking up my car from SoCal sat morning , hitting the redline event , rolling back to Vegas to autocross on sunday. Pretty crazy , sat will be the first day i have ever driven my 350 , and im running it the next day. I hope i havnt learned any screwy habits from driving a FWD for the past 9 months.

So is anyone going to show , or is everybody into just straightline stuff?? I know there is a lot of skill involved in autocross so the riceboys wont ever show up, but how about people who drive better cars than honda civics????

I used to be into autocross a little. I hate working corners though. Plus stateline is a little bit of distance to put on my track tires. I might do the one at Nellis AFB.

I used to go, but I feel it puts a lot more stress on the car. I dont even do 1/4s anymore. Plus Im running orgainic brake pads, those would fade in the middle of the first run.

I have never auto-x'd just because I dont have any spare tires and dont have a quick 1000 to drop on a set of spares

You dont need spare wheels , you really dont need special brakes. The speeds are pretty low and the brakes have plenty of time to cool down between runs. Wear on the car(lol) these cars are made for this kind of stuff.

Orgainic pads just dont have the stopping power needed for the event.

Autocross puts almost no wear on a car with street tires. Even on Hoosiers, you can run an entire season.
