Just a reminder that the LVRSCCA is holding the 3rd race in their summer series at Sam Boyd stadium on August 6th. Hope to see some Zs out there this time. Push your car's handling to the limits! Become a better driver. Have some fun!

Registration starts at 5:30. Driver's meeting is at 6:30. First car is out at 7PM. The temperature is pretty comfortable by then.

 

August 8th is a Monday...

August 6th is the autocross. I plan on going to this one. My car should be back from the shop today and it looks like I have no plans for that night.

You guys might get there finally and I've got family stuff to do that day. Well at least there's another 2 weeks after that one.

 

Not to mention a track day is coming up soon... I'll be there for sure, all pumped up and looking for trouble.

I just set up my car. I am running my track tires instead of the Hoosiers in case of rain. See you there.

 

So how was it?

 

It was a lot of fun. That was one of my favorite courses that I have driven. The first half was really fast and fun to drift. The second half was technical and also fun to drift. The weather was nice and we got six runs in. The event was over by 10:30pm.

 

Sounded awesome...

 

Had a good time with the exception of some freak screaming at the people at our station like we were idiots for not picking up a down cone...which happened to the a POINTER CONE!!! (ie It was SUPPOSED to be laying down!)

Like Mike said, the course had something for everyone. And I almost got to call him on a down cone, but the Jimbo in his MR2 spun out and caused a red flag. He got a "do-over"...lucky bastard!

 

Oh, BTW, they really need more drivers to show up. They are barely breaking even on the races now. Some of you guys need to get out there and drive your 350s like the sports cars that they are. It's fun as hell...I love being able to legally push my car to the limit in a way that would earn me a suspended license on the street!

it's easy! Just get on grid behind someone who gets lost or thinks they're supposed to hit the cones.

 

I'm working on getting decent wheels & tires. I don't want to be using these heavy **** wheels.
