APS TT Install at Dyno-Comp

The install is almost done. I should be picking up the car on Saturday and driving it home from Scottsdale. If anyone wants to see the system, maybe I can bring it to the next group meeting.

The install went very well, the car is amazing. I'm driving it back to AZ in mid-June to add the APS exhaust. My schedule is nuts this month, but I'll post back when I know I have some time to bring the car to a meeting.....maybe after the exhaust is installed..

If anyone didn't see the dynos on the other forums, here they are. Should be about 30-40 more whp after exhaust...not bad on 91 octane and stock cats. Does anyone know where I can get "help" with emissions testing? Maybe then I could use the APS test pipes.

Can't wait to see it. I'll be getting the single turbo in a couple of months, probably the APS exhaust as well. Can you give me a contact at Dyno-comp to talk to about working on my Z?

Sure....Richard Garcia, a great guy.. He's the owner. Tell him I told you to call. 480-596-0500.

They did a phenomenal job with the install, with taking good care of my car, and with the tuning. I left the car there for ten days, and when I picked it up, it looked like it hadn't even been touched. They do a lot of high end cars (Ferraris, Lambos, Porsches), so they're no stranger to quality. Seriously, DON'T take your car anywhere else. This is one of the best shops in the country.....wait 'til you see it.

Their dynos are better than the ones at Silver State.

They put way more hours into my car than they charged for. The quoted me one flat install/tuning price and then they tuned the car for two full days....110 runs on the dyno to get it exactly right. That's the kind of shop they are.

Install/tuning was $2300 plus supplies (fluids, etc.).

For a TT? That's a great price. Brainstorm in LA charges $3500, and their shop and dyno can't compare to Dyno-Comp. I think their basic rate is about $90 per hour, yet they put probably 50 hours into my car. The install alone is a 35-40 hour job.

I guess you are right, I was comparing it to the prices I got quoted for an SC install. But there are two turbos, and turbos are harder to do. Nonetheless congrats on your new purchase. Now we have to get you out to some sort of racetrack. The next Thursday Night Street Wars maybe?

Hey zz - does the unichip piggyback for the ECU increase the rev limiter?

I don't know if that's a programming option, but mine has not been increased. If you call Dyno-Comp, I'm sure they can answer that question.

I'm pretty sure that the Unichip can't raise the limiter.

The car is going back to Dyno-comp on Monday for the install of the exhaust. I'll post dyno numbers this week.

Not really....less than 1000 miles since install. It's not my daily driver and I've been working pretty much everyday, so not much time for fun.
